City development requires coordinating and dealing with the spatial and functional relationships between industry and city. We adhere to the "Industry + town" integrated development model and make use of industrial basis to promote land development, transportation and infrastructure construction. We also promote cities' development through aggregating population and supporting public service facilities and commercial services, in order to realize the integration of industrial, city, and ecological functions and to improve the overall upgrading and development of the city.
"Attracting Investment" to Achieve Industry-City Integration
Longhe Park adopted the "attracting investment" model. Through building high-quality urban infrastructure and industrial support functions, it introduced key occupiers like FIH Mobile, CSCEC and Global Logistic Properties bases. Hence it became an industry aggregation "highland" of such industries as a new generation of information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, modern service, residential and commercial property development. Among its occupiers are high-end properties and supporting facilities such as Red Star Macalline Market, Chuangye Plaza, Anci Hospital, Longhe First Primary School, VAST Longdi, Longhe Park. Ever since they were in place, these occupiers have increased the park’s ability to aggregate population aggregation and host high-end industries. The immediate outcome is that the city and industry begin to be mutually reinforced and to be increasingly integrated, which provides strong support for innovation and industrial transformation and upgrade.
Mixed Functions for Diversified Living and Production Space
Between the downtown area and the city's west industrial park situates Zhangjiakou Modern Industrial Park. As an important area in this region, it links and integrates industry and city and hosts service industries. The production area and the residential area are fused. The purpose of fusion is to provide diversified living and production services, ecological construction and industrial services. For this purpose we have planned supportive residential services including accommodation, supermarkets, blocks and gardens as well as public support facilities including schools and hospitals. In 2016, we negotiated with 42 enterprises to explore the possibility of subsidizing and attracting industries with city services, so as to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of modern industrial parks. Included among these companies are Landseed International Medical Group, Beijing Normal University Education Training Center, CECEP and Aofei Data.
